Existing Bike Plan/Infrastructure
Monterey Park's existing bicycle plan was adopted in 1975. The plan mainly consists of Class III Bicycle Routes, which consist of green "Bike Route" signage. The plan has not been updated since then, but has been re-adopted by following General Plan updates, the most recent in 2001. However, the City has expressed interest and support for developing a new plan that would make the City eligible to receive Caltrans Bicycle Transportation Account (BTA) funding.
