The San Gabriel Valley Bike Train

Join BikeSGV the LAST SUNDAY OF EVERY MONTH for a community bike ride along San Gabriel Valley's bike superhighway, also known as the Emerald Necklace. The Bike Train introduces community members to existing bicycle infrastructure and the myriad benefits of bicycling as a sustainable form of transportation, physical activity, and recreation.  Newcomers build confidence while learning cycling etiquette, maintenance, repair, group riding, and much more.

The scenic bike tour makes brief stops to hydrate and regroup at Pioneer Park, Peck Rd. Park, and Thienes Ave. Other destination include The Bosque del Rio Hondo, Whittier Narrows remote control planes and boats park, Legg Lake, the Santa Fe Dam and many more.

In partnership with local volunteers, BikeSGV now offers Get Fit Club, a creative exercise club for those not riding during our Bike Train. The exercise club features interactive stretch routines followed by a light walk/jog around Legg Lake with basic strength training along the way. All participants are encouraged to set goals and define personal challenges as we strive to improve physical activity capacity.
